Most Crypto Investors Support Trump

US Crypto Investors Back Presidential Candidate Donald Trump, Results Show survey Fairleigh Dickinson University. He received 50% of the votes, while his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, received 38%.

The survey involved 801 respondents. It was conducted from August 17 to 20, 2024. The share of crypto investors in this sample was 15%.

The majority of the rest — 80% — said they had never owned crypto assets and did not plan to invest in them in the near future. Another 4% did not know what it was, and 1% said they found it difficult to answer.

Among crypto investors, 50% supported Donald Trump. Experts attributed the growth of his audience to the politician’s efforts to establish contacts with the community:

“Trump has been reaching out to the crypto community, and it seems to have paid off. It would be easy to dismiss them as insignificant, but I don’t think people realize how widespread cryptocurrency ownership is,” said Dan Cassino, a professor of government and politics.

Notably, those respondents who do not plan to invest in crypto assets supported Harris predominantly – 53% versus 41% for Trump.

Previously, according to bets on the outcome of the US presidential election on the Polymarket platform, the probability of each of the two candidates winning was 50%.

At the time of writing this article, Harris lost to Trump. The probability of her victory is already estimated at 48%. The general pool of bets on this position reached $775.35 million

It should be noted that Donald Trump has made several statements in support of the cryptocurrency industry. In particular, he spoke at the Bitcoin 2024 conference.
