More than 1,000 Russians have sought political asylum in Finland to avoid conscription

Over 1,000 Russian citizens have sought asylum in Finland because of the threat to be drafted and serve their military service in Russiaaccording to the Finnish Migration Agency.

THE Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) reports that 1,109 Russian citizens have so far requested asylum in Finland to avoid conscription in Russia.
