Miya Wine Bar offers 90 wine labels by the glass and menu by Flávio Miyamura

the chef Flavio Miyamura left a legion of nostalgic fans of his dishes when he closed the Miya , five years ago. The good news is that the restaurant is back, now in wine bar in the trendy region of low pine trees .

Upon arrival, a pleasant deck with wooden floors and tables with ombrellones welcome diners. Perfect environment to sit on a sunny day and watch the Rua Padre Carvalho address of other popular bars in the capital such as Negroni, Ginger and Piraja.

If you prefer something more secluded, enter the house that also houses the Grand Cru wine shop and go to the second floor, where large wooden windows let the light into a cozy room with few tables.

The menu is ideal to be savored, slowly, between one glass and another. The options for wine by the glass there are many, more than 90, with prices starting at R$18 and can reach, for example, R$272, in the case of the award-winning red Zuccardi Finca Piedra Infinita Gravascal 2018.

A big difference from Miya Wine Bar is exactly that: it offers labels of large terroirs, such as Barolo, Brunello and Chianti, among others, including exclusive and special vintages, which are usually only offered by the bottle. The bottle menu, by the way, is extensive and includes more than 400 labels.

On the menu, the signature of chef Flávio shines again. The corn tostada (R$ 69) is a must, which includes marinated tuna, wasabi and seaweed salad; the katsu sando sandwich (R$49), with pork belly breaded with aioli on milk bread; the mussels (R$75), which come with fries and toast and the perfect sauce; and the steak tartare with fries (R$76), very well seasoned.

Among the main dishes, the shrimp risotto with tucupi (R$ 95) is impeccable, full of flavor; as well as spaghetti with clams and jamon (R$ 85), which in the vegetarian version includes mushrooms; the fettuccine with rib ragu (R$79); and fideuá with seafood (R$95).
