Karolina Bielawska from Poland is the most beautiful woman in the world, as the 70th was announced Miss World on Wednesday, with contestants and organizers expressing solidarity with the Ukrainians at the end of the beauty contest.
Bielawska, who works as a model and is studying to get her master’s degree in Management, won the title in the capital of Puerto Rico. The ceremony was delayed by three months due to the pandemic.
The first alternate Miss World was announced at beauty Shree Saini from the USA while Olivia Yace from Ivory Coast was crowned 2nd alternate.
The ceremony also included messages of support to Ukraine because of the Russian invasion, according to CNN.
The words “a prayer for peace” appeared on a screen behind the finalists. A message of support for Ukraine was posted on the official Miss World Twitter account. Organizers also reported that more than 70,000 candles had been prepared for the show, which was broadcast in more than 100 countries.
