“Mine, Yours, Ours” series discusses philanthropy and premieres this Friday (16) on streaming

The documentary series “Meu, Seu, Nosso” deals with the theme of philanthropy in Brazil and premieres this Friday (16) on the Aquarius streaming platform.

Among the characters in the episodes are: Neide Suruí, an indigenous activist in Rondônia, Bismarck Araújo, a photographer from Bahia, and Ana Paula Mucunã, a leader in a settlement in Rio Grande do Norte.

They all share the characteristic of dedication to social causes that positively impact their communities.

Businesswoman Ana Maria Diniz, daughter of businessman Abilio Diniz, who died in February of this year, is one of the project’s creators. Abílio was enthusiastic about the theme addressed in the series.

Restless and always willing to reflect on the direction of Brazil, he became a presenter on CNN . There were two talk shows.

In the first of these, “Olhares Brasileiros” (2022), Abilio spoke with personalities from various sectors about the country in an election year. He then spoke in a new program with big names in politics and with the biggest Brazilian businessmen. There were three seasons of “Caminhos com Abilio Diniz” (2023).

The film, which premieres this Friday, was directed by Marcos Prado. He is responsible for films such as “Estamira” (2004) and “Tropa de Elite” (2007).

Filmmaker João Jardim takes on the co-direction of some episodes.

“The first motivation to create the series ‘My, Your, Our’ came during the pandemic, at a time when many families were experiencing difficulties, suffering, and needs,” says Ana Maria Diniz.

The production process involved extensive research, conducted by researchers Camila Mouri and Barbara Heckler, who identified more than 50 social projects in different regions of Brazil.

From this survey, the seven main characters of the series were chosen. In addition, 16 national and international experts were invited to discuss the topic of volunteering and social action from different perspectives.

“Mine, Yours, Ours” took two years to complete, with the team dedicated to research, production, filming and editing. The series aims to inspire audiences by showing the impact that community action can have on society and how passionate individuals can make a difference.
