Ecuador’s president, Daniel Nuboa, announced that he had asked his US counterpart, Donald Trump, a military aid in his fight against drug gangs during their recent meeting in Florida. The United States of America “will help us in patrols, not only for (struck) drug trafficking, but also for the problems of illegal fishing,” Noboa said in an interview with Radio Sucesos Tuesday. The two leaders met on Saturday in Florida, USA. “It was a pretty positive meeting,” the Ecuadorian president said, adding that, among other things, issues of security, illegal immigration and trade relations were discussed. Trump said he would “consider” Ecuador’s request to include “in the list of terrorist organizations” gangs from Ecuador with international interconnections, according to Noboa.
