Michael Sailor: “I control 111,000 BTC and have not sold any satoshi”

MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor said he “has access” to 111,000 BTC and is not going to sell his stock.

MicroStrategy owns the largest Bitcoin holdings of any publicly traded firm. Currently, 92,079 BTC are stored in MicroStrategy wallets.

The company began purchasing the first cryptocurrency back in August 2020, investing $ 250 million in the purchase of bitcoins. Subsequently, purchases continued, and the last one took place on 18 May.

“Overall, I control 111,000 BTC and not a single Satoshi has been sold.” wrote Sailor on Twitter.

In addition to MicroStrategy reserves, Sailor also has his own bitcoin reserves, which he does not report to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). At the end of October last year, he said that he personally owns 17,732 BTC.

Together with the reserves of MicroStrategy, this amounts to 109,811 BTC. Thus, either Sailor bought additional coins for himself, or controls some other companies with bitcoin reserves.

Recall that yesterday there was a large drop in the first cryptocurrency – the price dropped to $ 30,000. However, now bitcoin has won back most of its losses and is trading at $ 38,000.
