A decision by a federal court reactivated this Tuesday (30) the suspension of bullfighting in the Benito Juárez City Hall, in Mexico City, at the request of the organization Todos y Todos por Amor a los Toros.
These activities had been reestablished last weekend at Plaza de Toros México, thanks to protection granted to the company that owns the bullring.
Congressman from Mexico City, Jorge Gaviño (Liberal Left Parliamentary Association), reported this Wednesday (31) on his account on the social network X, that the new decision was granted to the animal protection organization.
This Wednesday, the CNN asked the representatives of Plaza de Toros México their position on the decision that reactivates the suspension of bullfighting at that location, considered the largest in the world dedicated to bullfighting, but so far we have not received a response.
According to the decision, authorities must refrain from granting licenses to hold bullfights, at least until February 7, when the issue will be decided.
“The provisional suspension is granted so that the responsible authorities refrain from carrying out the contested acts, for which they must immediately suspend bullfighting in the Benito Juárez City Hall in Mexico City, as well as the granting of licenses for the carrying out the aforementioned shows,” says the decision.
