The American rapper Megan Thee Stallion shared on all digital platforms his newest song, entitled “Neva Play” a collaboration with the singer RM leader of the South Korean group BTS . The song was accompanied by a music video, where the musician appears in an animated version.
“Neva Play” marks Megan’s second collaboration with RM. In 2021, the singer participated in the remix of BTS’ single “Butter”. The artist even joined the musicians for a surprise performance of the song during a series of shows in Los Angeles in November of the same year.
“I’m so excited that RM and I got to work on this together,” Megan said in a statement sent to CNN. “I love him, I love BTS! He brought one of my favorite verses, and I know the Hotties and the BTS Army are going to love it.”
The rapper’s new song comes ahead of her appearance at the 2024 MTV Music Video Awards (VMA) next Wednesday, September 11. At the event, in addition to bringing an unprecedented performance, Megan Thee Stallion will be a presenter.
