“Megalopolis”: Francis Ford Coppola’s cinematic epic “comes to life” as graphic novel

“Megalopolis” was one of last year’s ambitious and much -talked -about films by Francis Ford Coppola. After decades of growth and with the director himself investing tens of millions of dollars from his personal fortune, the film was presented as a life bet, a production production. It premiered at the Cannes Festival 2024, but failed to impress and received mixed reviews. It tells the story “of the visionary architect Cesar Catilina (Adam Draver), who wants to create a utopian metropolis, but is in confrontation with powerful Mayor Franklyn Cicero (Giancarlo Esoposito), who remains dedicated to a backward regime.” Now, the project will take a new form and will be released by Abrams Comicarts in October as a Graphic Novel.
