The meeting reviewed all issues related to the Presbyterian Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria, discussed the challenges it is called to manage in the area of ​​its spiritual and ecclesiastical jurisdiction and stressed the demanding role it is called to play in Africa for the benefit of Greekism.
The Prime Minister reiterated to His Beatitude the full support of the Greek Government in all matters concerning the Church of Alexandria and the Greek Orthodox flock in Africa. It was confirmed during the debate that, in the current context, maintaining the unity of the Orthodox Churches remains a high priority.
