Meet Britney Spears' mother, involved in new family controversy

In recent days, the name of Britney Spears , 42, once again gained prominence in the press. It all started last Thursday (2), when the singer decided to share a new family controversy.

The artist, who had an alleged “big fight” with her boyfriend Paul Soliz at the Chateu Marmont hotel, in West Hollywood, in the United States, accused her own mother, Lynne Spears 68, of being involved in the couple's disagreement, as she allegedly “plotted” the incident, turning the situation into a major scandal.

“I know my mother is involved. I haven't spoken to her in six months and she called right after it happened, before the news came out. I was prepared, just like she had been a long time ago. I wish I had grandparents! I can't stand her! I honestly don’t care,” Britney wrote on Instagram.

But after all, who is Lynne Spears?

Marriage to Jamie Spears

Lynne and Jamie married in 1976 and from their union they had three children. Bryan, who was born in 1977, Britney in 1981 and the youngest Jamie in 1991.

Before her children's fame, Lynne owned and managed a children's daycare in Kentwood, Louisiana. There, she also worked as a primary teacher.

Published books

In the first ten years of Britney's fame, Lynne published several books with her daughter. The first, “Heart to Heart”, was published in 2000, being a biographical work on the singer.

Another production, entitled “A Mother's Gift”, was published by them a year later. The third novel, “Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World”, was published in September 2008.
