Mayhem in Iran: At least 250 members of a 'Satanist network' arrested – Three Europeans among them

Iranian police announced today that they have arrested more than 250 people, including three Europeans, on charges of promoting “Satanism” in the western suburbs of the capital Tehran. As reported by the official Irna news agency, the police “announced the identification and arrest of a large number of members of the Satanist network, which was dismantled.” It arrested “146 men and 115 women” who are “in an inappropriate and indecent state with emblems, signs and symbols of Satanism on their clothes, head, face and hair”, said the Iranian news agency, which cites a police press release. “Three European citizens” were also arrested during the operation carried out in the city of Sahriyar, west of Tehran, on the night of Thursday to Friday, the same source said, without specifying their nationality. “Symbols of Satanism, alcoholic beverages and psychoactive substances, as well as 73 vehicles were seized,” Irna continued.
