The workers of MatricerÃas Deusto Y GTS, the plants located in Zamudio that belong to the Gestamp group, have recalled in the streets of Bilbao the other side of the pandemic, the economic one.
The multinational group does not seem willing to back down and wants to close both plants, which means the dismissal of about 230 employees.
This morning the workers, accompanied by some of their families, have demonstrated in Bilbao, from El Arenal to the headquarters of the Basque Government, to demand that the activity of both plants and therefore their jobs be maintained .
The Automotive Components Group argues the need for closure in which in the loss of competitiveness of the die in Spain and in Europe in the last decade already market drop by more than 20% in the sector as a consequence of the pandemic.
