Marvel released, this Saturday (23), the first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever — the sequel to Black Panther (2018) — during San Diego Comic Con 2022. got a new poster (see below).
According to the studio, the film’s story will focus on the struggle to protect the kingdom of Wakanda from interference by other nations after the death of King T’Challa.
The character was played by Chadwick Boseman, who died in 2021 from colon cancer. Franchise director Kevin Feige had previously announced that a new actor would not be cast in the role, with the story turning to the other characters.
One of the novelties of the trailer was the appearance of Tenoch Huerta, who will play the king of a “hidden undersea nation”.
The cast also includes Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livanalli.
Another advertisement related to the film is the soundtrack release on July 25th. The composition is by Ludwig Göransson.
