Mario Vargas Llosa: Remember the main works of the Peruvian author

The Peruvian writer MARIO VARGAS LIOSA He died last Sunday (13) at the age of 89. The information was announced through a publication by Álvaro Vargas Lioso, son of the author, at X, former Twitter.

Considered one of the most significant names in the Latin American literature scene, Vargas Lioso produced an extensive literary work, including “The Bode Party” and “misleading girl.”

In 2010, the author became established with the Nobel Prize for Literature. In addition, he also received other awards such as Cervantes, Prince of Asturias, Pen/Nabokov and Grinzane Cavour.

“Cathedral conversation” (1969)

Considered one of the author’s most important titles, “Cathedral Conversation” brings a journalist and an old driver of his father reflecting on the Peruvian political panorama in the 1950s. History explores international conspiracies during the most critical years of the Cold War. According to the presentation, the book is a historical account of the coup that changed the fate of Guatemala and all of Latin America in the 1950s, including disputes, betrayals and lies that echo today.
