The singer and songwriter Marina Lima 69, used social media this Friday (25) to mourn the death of his brother, the poet and composer Antonio Cicero .
The artist died last Wednesday (23), after choosing to undergo an assisted death procedure in Switzerland. In a post on Instagram, Marina Lima spoke about what happened.
“I am fine. I understand my brother. Cicero was consistent with everything he thought, from the end. I’ll stay here. I still feel ready for the next stop. And thank you guys, for so much affection”, he wrote.
The artist also published the lyrics of the song “Próxima Parada”, which she composed with her brother. “And if we meet/ at the next stop/ then my dear/ let’s show/ that a man’s only home/ is in the extraordinary”, says part of the song.
Cicero was responsible for composing great MPB classics. Only in collaboration with his sister did he contribute lyrics to songs like “Charm of the World ” and “Fullgas “.
Other highlights of the artist’s career were collaborations with Adriana Calcanhotto , Cláudio Zoli and Lulu Santos.
