His career began when, at just 17 years oldshe had boldly presented herself at a Rai audition pretending to be 20 years old. The roads had opened up before her: films, theatre, fiction and also books and radio, without forgetting the hot shots for the magazine Playboy, in homage to its Mediterranean beauty. The very first television experience was alongside Pippo Baudo, in the cult show Great song (fifty years ago).
Among her various acting roles, there is also that of journalist Oriana Fallaciwhich Maria Rosario Omaggio had played in film Walesa – The Man of Hope by Andrzej Wajda. On the private life side, the artist had a husband and three great loves, but no children (much to her disappointment).
The news of the actress’s death was announced by a post shared on his Instagram page: «Dear Maria Rosaria. You left us. You have begun your new journey towards the spirituality you loved so much. You were a loving, enlightening, present friend. Beautiful and cultured woman. You will be missed a lot by my little dogs too, to whom you used to say, give a kiss from Aunt Maro’ RIP».
