Marginal crater: After more than 4 days, track is released for traffic

The central runway of Marginal Tietê, where a great crater opened, was released for vehicle traffic On the morning of Tuesday (15), after more than four days of interdiction.

On the morning of Friday (11), Sabesp had given the deadline of “About three days” for the completion of the works. The teams used backhoes to dig more deeply the area to allow the underground piping to undergo maintenance. Next, gravel charges arrived at the scene to fill the crater and enable asphalt reconstruction.

To the works had to be suspended During Sunday night (13) and at dawn on Monday (14), due to the heavy rain that hit the city, which prevented the pavement, as reported by Sabesp.

CET employees maintained the interdictions in the affected bands, and worked to organize the flow of vehicles in the surroundings to avoid more intense congestion.
