Federal prison guard Jorge José da Rocha Guaranho, investigated for the murder of municipal guard and member of the Workers’ Party (PT) Marcelo Aloizio de Arruda, on Saturday night (9), was already detained in 2018 after offending military police officers in Rio de Janeiro. of January. According to the incident report, registered on June 24, 2018, military police officers were called to verify an occurrence in the city of Guapimirim, in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro. Before arriving at the address where a party was taking place, the police officers were surprised by Jorge José, who advanced against the military and, when presenting himself as a federal police officer, ordered everyone to leave the place.
Also according to the report made at the police station, Jorge José would have offended with degrading words both an officer, who at the time was a captain of the PM, and a soldier, saying that both were “shitty police officers”. After the offenses, the police had to handcuff Jorge José, given that he was “afraid and very upset”, according to the document.
The case was registered as contempt at the 59th Police Station of Rio de Janeiro. The National Penitentiary Department (DEPEN), an agency in which Guaranho has worked since 2010, was questioned about possible internal procedures, but has not yet returned. Jorge’s defense could not be reached for comment.
