New video with the man who slapped the president of France Emanuel Macron, during a visit to the south of France, was broadcast by a French television network.
The security of the French president quickly intervened to immobilize the man and remove Macron, while two people were arrested in connection with the incident, broadcast the BFM TV network and the RMC radio network, according to the APE-MPE.
For his part, the Prime Minister of France Jean Castex spoke about insult to democracy.

The incident unfolded while Macron was visiting the Drom region in southeastern France, where he met with restaurants and students to talk about how life is returning to normal after the Covid-19 epidemic.

In the video that circulates on social media, Macron can be seen walking towards a crowded crowd, behind bars.
The French president extends his hand to greet a man wearing a green T-shirt, glasses and mask.
The man is heard shouting “A Bas La Macronie” (Down with “Macronism”) and then slapping the head of the French state.
Two of the French security men president tackles the man in the green t-shirt as another removes Macron. But the French president stays close for a few more seconds and seems to be talking to someone else on the other side of the railings.
The French Presidency stated that there was a “slap in the face” against Macron, without commenting further.
The identity of the man who slapped Emanuel Macron and his motives have not been clarified.
As he slaps the president of France, the man is heard shouting “Montjoie Saint Denis”, which was the war cry of the French troops when the country was under rule.
