The Military Police reported this Wednesday (31) that they seized a 9mm caliber submachine gun during an operation against drug trafficking in São Vicente, in Baixada Santista.
A 45-year-old man tried to shoot at the agents and ended up being arrested. The operation took place on Tuesday (30).
In addition to the weapon, drugs were also seized.
During the action, the 2nd Special Actions Battalion (Baep) team noticed that four men ran when they saw the vehicle.
During the escape, the suspects threw bags of drugs along the way, including more than 800 portions of marijuana, hashish, crack, skunk and K2, which were seized.
According to the PM, the suspect carrying the submachine gun tried to hit the team, but the weapon failed and he did not complete the shot.
The man was arrested at the scene and three others managed to escape.
The case was registered at the 2nd Police District of São Vicente and recorded as drug trafficking, illegal possession of a restricted firearm, resistance and attempted murder.
