A 45-year-old man was attacked by residents of the Valle Verde neighborhood, in Araraquara, in São Paulo , last Sunday (19) after setting fire to his son-in-law’s car. He was rescued and taken to the neighborhood’s Emergency Care Unit (UPA).
The attack happened after his daughter exposed an alleged relationship between her father and her husband on the internet.
The case was registered as damage and bodily injury at the Araraquara Sectional Police Station and was forwarded to the city’s Judiciary Police Center (CPJ), where it is being investigated.
According to the note from the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), “an inspection was requested at the scene and those involved were notified to appear at the police unit”.
The delegate responsible for the Judiciary Police Center, Marcelo Borghi, said that a police report was made by the police on duty. A forensic team was called to determine the damage to the vehicle, in addition to a request for a medical examination. “The continuation will depend on the victim’s manifestation, as this is a crime that depends on representation (complaint)”, explained the delegate.
A CNN contacted those involved, but at the time of writing this article had not received a response.
