A man has been arrested in South Carolina, in the United States, accused of robbing a convenience store using a fake gun, designed for a Nintendo video game.
David Joseph Dalesandro, 25, robbed a store in Sharon, a town in northwestern South Carolina, using a pistol from the “Duck Hunt” game, the York County Sheriff’s Office said.
Witnesses told officers that a person entered the store on May 30 wearing a wig, hooded sweatshirt and a mask. That person showed the clerk the fake gun in his waistband and demanded about $300 off the register, officials said.
Sheriff’s deputies discovered Dalesandro in a parking lot, armed with the pistol in his pants. The man was arrested.
Charges against him include armed robbery with a lethal weapon and larceny, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
