A man was arrested after using a lighter and a flammable liquid to burn his partner, this Wednesday (10). Murilo Henrique Delfino Alves was arrested for attempted feminicide at the Nova Iguaçu General Hospital, in Baixada Fluminense.
Police officers from the Posse Police Station (58th DP) were notified by the management of the health unit about the arrival of the victim with burns and went to the scene. There, they discovered that Murilo had attacked his partner after a fight.
He allegedly threw alcohol into the couple's room and lit the flames. The woman was hit in the hair, arms, back and legs. The victim's mother helped put out the fire with water from the shower.
During the action, Murilo also suffered burns to his body, but only requested medical attention after being arrested in the act. He is in the same health unit, under custody.
After completing the legal formalities, the prisoner will be sent to the prison system, where he will be protected, at the disposal of the Justice.
