The Civil Police arrested preventively on Tuesday (22), a 31-year-old man suspected of having committed a series of fuel theft at the Tapejara City Hall, in northwestern ParanĂ¡. The crimes occurred between December 2024 and March 2025.
According to delegate Thais Emi Fujihara, reports point to theft of approximately 310 liters of diesel oil from the municipal public heritage. Thefts would have occurred within five different days, with estimated volumes of 100, 70, 30, 50 and 60 liters of fuel, respectively. The man’s goal would be to sell diesel.
Investigations indicate that the man adopted the same modus operated in all actions. He accessed the interior of the city climbing the wall and used a hose to remove fuel from the tanks of parked vehicles in the courtyard, between trucks and tractors.
“It is important to highlight that, in cases such as this, the direct victim is not limited to the public entity, but covers the entire community. The subtraction of fuel intended for the municipal fleet directly compromises the provision of public services essential to the population,” he explains.
The man was sent to the penitentiary system. He may be responsible for the crime of qualified theft.
