The centenary “Cup” has become a character in the city’s history. Its construction, between 1919 and 1923, was one of the foundations for promoting luxury tourism in the neighborhood and creating the world's imagination of Rio de Janeiro. Whether by its illustrious residents, such as Jorge Ben, or the popular events and dances promoted, the hotel is, to this day, a true playground of the Rio glamor .

Number 1702 Avenida Atlântica, in the heart of Rio de Janeiro, features a preserved art deco facade, Spa, tennis court and a glamorous semi-Olympic swimming pool. Because privacy and comfort are essential points, the 239 apartments and suites, divided between the main and annex buildings, have hosted kings, queens, celebrities and intellectuals.

Madonna is on the sixth floor of the Copacabana Palace, in one of the seven hotel presidential suites . Luxurious and bright, the suites measuring more than 100 square meters are decorated in a classic style, with works of art, marble bathrooms and butler service. Guests also have access to the iconic “black pool”, an exclusive pool covered completely with black tablets, which became famous for being a celebrity retreat.

In addition to being the only hotel in Latin America with two Michelin-starred restaurants: Cipriani with an Italian accent led by Nello Cassese and the Mee whose cuisine focuses on Pan-Asian fusion, guests also have a privileged view of the shows on the Copacabana sands, such as Madonna, which usually take place in front of the hotel.
