“Lucy in the Sky with Spray” exhibition pays tribute to the Beatles in SP

The singer Paul McCartney is about to arrive in Brazil for three presentations and in celebration of this moment, an exhibition was held in São Paulo, inspired by the Beatles. Titled “Lucy in the Sky with Spray”, the immersive experience is a pun on the single “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds”, released in 1967.

Available until October 13th, the free exhibition promises to transport the public into the imagination of the band’s timeless songs. With 11 works created by graffiti artists who used innovative techniques to create works that capture the essence and energy of the Beatles’ songs, visitors will be able to take a virtual tour and listen to a snippet of some songs related to each work.

“As an art and music lover, it is a pleasure to be able to capture the essence of one of the biggest and best bands in the world through my art. I grew up listening to the Beatles’ hits and today these same songs inspire me when I paint graffiti”, says Ana Kia, a graffiti artist who will have one of her works in the exhibition.

The exhibition is organized by Shopping Center 3 in partnership with Fábricas de Cultura, Ministry of Culture, the Secretariat of Culture, Economy and the Creative Industry of the State of São Paulo.
