Luciana Gimenez 54, and Mick Jagger , 80, met in 1998, during the Rolling Stones' second visit to Brazil. Today the two are parents of Lucas Jagger who turns 25 this Saturday (18).
When the presenter was at the height of her 28 years of age, she was introduced by Gloria Maria to the British rocker, who was 54 at the time. Luciana has already said in interviews that, at first, she had no interest in meeting him.
That year, the singer was married to Jerry Hall , mother of four of his children. Even so, Mick Jagger had an extramarital affair with Luciana Gimenez for almost a year.
According to the Brazilian, what they had cannot even be considered a relationship. While they were in a casual relationship, Luciana discovered herself pregnant and Mick and Jerry's marriage came to an end.
Upon assuming the fatherhood of Lucas, the rocker received a pension request worth US$17,500 (around R$52,000 at the time) until the boy turned 18, in addition to an apartment valued at US$2 million (R$6 million, at the old exchange rate) in New York, United States.
In 2017, Luciana Gimenez admitted in an interview with the Daily Mail that she wrote a letter to the singer's ex-wife apologizing. “I wrote 'please forgive me' but she never responded. I didn’t expect her to respond, but I wanted her to know I was sorry.'”
On PodDelas, the presenter recalled when she lived in London, England, and was the target of tabloids that accused her of the end of Mick Jagger's marriage.
“It was the most difficult time of my life. They finished me off, it was endless terror, something crazy. I cried for nine months. I spent almost the entire pregnancy abroad, alone. It was very tense”, he recalled.
In turn, Mick Jagger also admitted the mistake in an interview with The Observer in 2003. “The relationship with Luciana was a mistake and I admit it ”, he stated and further explained:
“But then I say that and, years from now, Lucas reads the interview and thinks, 'Oh, that was a mistake.' So, I have to add that he is actually a very nice boy. Otherwise it would look horrible.”
Currently, Luciana Gimenez and Mick Jagger have a great relationship. It is not uncommon for the Brazilian woman to appear in photos with her son's father, in addition to paying homage to him on commemorative dates.
