A video has been circulating on social media for the last few hours and is moving as it proves that friendship and love know no bounds and hardships. The protagonist of the clip is the 25-year-old homeless man, Jose Luis Matos, from El Penion, who has been living since the age of 10 begging from restaurants and locals with his four-legged friends.
In the video, the man, more commonly known as Choko, appears to be sitting on a ladder with his two dogs, Luna and Shaggy, both of whom are wearing birthday hats. The young homeless man cuts a cake – it is decorated with two candles – and offers a piece to each of his two faithful companions, but not before he hugs and kisses them with affection.

The tender scene moved many users on social media and soon two locals were interested in helping the young man.
So Choco managed to raise enough money to rent a place to spend the night.
“I was able to rent a place. “I have somewhere to lie down my body, which is a very important thing,” explained the 25-year-old homeless man, speaking to local media.
“I met Shaggy in the park. The owner came to pick him up again, but the dog started walking with me. “Then they took him again, but he came back to me,” said Choko.
“My dream is to have an institution where I can take care of all stray dogs, from all over the country,” said the young homeless man. As a means to make his dream come true, the 25-year-old wants to perfect his rap music. “I want to be one of the greatest rap artists in Colombia,” he said.
