The singer Lord, 28, released this Thursday (24) the song “What Was That”, the first of her new musical age. She had already performed the song on Tuesday night (22), by surprise, through the streets of New York, United States.
She invited her fans to a Washington Square Park meeting, put the song to play and danced to the sound of the release.
The new song has a letter that refers to adolescence. “Since the 17th I gave you everything, now we woke up from a dream and well, dear, what was that?” She sings in one of the verses. The production is by Jim-e Stack, who works with names like Charli XCX and Caroline Polachek, and Dan Nigro, who has collaborated with Kylie Minogue, Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan.
Lord has not released new music since 2021, when he released his third studio album, “Solar Power”. She usually expects a four -year interval to release a new album.
