Business trips across the Atlantic could be cut to an eighth of today’s time thanks to a new “supersonic” aircraft under development. An aerospace company from Texas called Venus Aerospace is working on the plane called Stargazer. The Stargazer will be “supersonic”, meaning it will be able to travel at five times the speed of sound and will also fly higher than other aircraft. If approved for commercial travel, the $33 million plane could cover the 3,459-mile distance from London to New York in less than an hour, three times faster than Concorde (1,354 mph) and five times faster than NASA’s upcoming ‘Son of Concorde’ aircraft (937 mph).
