What if you combine social isolation, love … and a robbery? You get Locked Down, the new production by Doug Liman, director of Live. Die. Repeat and Mr. & Mrs. Smith, in which the protagonists Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor find a way to return the spark to their marriage crisis through a robbery.
Quarantine can drive anyone crazy, but it also gives you the opportunity to come up with new, and unexpected, life plans.
The official synopsis for the film reads as follows:
Just as they decide to part ways, Linda (Anne Hathaway) and Paxton (Chiwetel Ejiofor) discover that life has other plans after being trapped at home during a mandatory quarantine. Living together is proving to be a challenge, but fueled by poetry and copious amounts of wine, it will bring you closer together in the most surprising way.
Locked Down It shows us the life of an established couple in London who are going through a crucial moment in their relationship when Linda decides to file for a divorce from Paxton.
However, before this plan could be carried out, the quarantine forces them to live together and meditate on this decision. It all comes to a point that no one expected: the couple plans a robbery at Harrods, the warehouse where she works. Can they get away with it and save their marriage in the process? Find out on the HBO MAX platform on January 14.
