The G7 foreign ministers agreed on a package of escalating sanctions against Russia in response to Moscow’s aggression against Ukraine, as British Foreign Secretary Liz Tras announced via Twitter.
“G7 foreign ministers unequivocally condemn Russia’s violation of its international commitments. We agreed on a strong package of coordinated tiered sanctions in response,” Tras wrote on Twitter following the G7 foreign ministers’ conference call.

Earlier today, German Foreign Minister Alena Berbock convened a meeting of the foreign ministers of the seven most industrialized nations (G7) to discuss the escalating crisis between Russia and Ukraine.
“The G7 is still coordinating on the issue of the Russian crisis,” she said in a Twitter post, without elaborating.
