The actor Will Smith 55, is confirmed to perform at the Rock in Rio on September 19. Despite being known for his work in the film industry, the American owns rap songs and has already won 4 Grammys the first of which was for Best Rap Performance.
His musical career began in the mid-1980s, when he was part of a hip-hop duo known as DJ Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince with whom he released five studio albums. His solo career began in the late 1990s.
In total, he has four solo albums: “Big Willie Style” of 1997, “Willennium” of 1999, “Born To Reign” of 2002 and “Lost And Found” released in 2005. In July of this year, Smith revealed in an interview with Black Film Allies that he is working on new music. In the same month, he released the single “Work of Art” in partnership with Russ and his son, Jaden Smith.
In June, Smith performed a gospel song titled “You Can Make It” at the BET Awards. The track peaked at number 3 on the Hot Gospel Songs chart and number 23 on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart.
