Liniker reveals that the song entered “Caju” incomplete: “The tape is over”

The singer Liniker revealed the reason for the song “Help Me Save Sundays” from his album “Cashew” to end abruptly: the tape ran out while they were recording the track in the studio.

“The tape ran out. We recorded this entire album analogically, on the tape that was running. And then the tape ran out, and we thought it was great and didn’t make any changes,” she said on the podcast Um Milkshake Chamado Wanda.

“We loved it. We really embrace the things that happen. So we thought… what a gift. Suddenly, a track ended after 7 minutes, otherwise it would have been 15,” said the singer.

According to her, this track was also recorded entirely in the dark: “We turned off all the lights in the studio. We turned off the entire studio and recorded the entire song in the dark, we couldn’t see anyone, just the little red of the tape spinning.”

The album “Caju” arrived on all platforms in August 19th . In the week of its release, the album debuted on the global new releases chart on the Spotify streaming service, occupying the sixth position.
