Letizia Ortiz is now a habit: every time she drew from her mother-in-law’s wardrobe

A gesture, that of drawing from the wardrobe of the mother-in-law, which is now becoming a real custom at the Palacio Real. In fact, it is not the first time that the former journalist entrusts to the considered choice of some of his looks signs of a now matured affection towards the Queen mother. At the beginning of the year, for example, it was the turn of a Valentino emerald green with attached floral bodice, previously worn by Sofia in 1977 in Germany, to point out the more than serene relations between the two. Letizia showed off her long dress in January, on the occasion of an institutional meeting at the Palazzo.

But the appreciation of the mother-in-law’s style choices had already been noticed in September last year, when the Spanish sovereign chose to slip into a candid bon ton dress with floral applications, finished with a lavender-colored crewneck, worn by the mother-in-law in 1981 during a trip to Italy, specifically in Rome.

A lot of water has passed under the bridge since that bad episode, dating back to 2018, which took place in front of everyone as they left the Church on Easter day. An accident along the way, which fueled gossip about the alleged tensions between daughter-in-law and mother-in-law.

But now they have vanished into thin air. Or, at least, stylistically speaking.
