Ledger Launches New NFT Hardware Wallet

A major manufacturer of hardware cryptocurrency wallets, Ledger, has introduced a new model called Nano S Plus, designed to work with collectible tokens.

The new device model is the next generation of the original Nano device introduced in 2016. This is the sixth wallet model in the company’s lineup and the first since 2019. Ledger Nano S Plus supports “clean signature” technology through the Ledger Live app, which is designed to make working with cryptocurrencies easier. The application displays all the details of the transaction on the screen, so that it is more difficult for users to mistakenly sign the wrong transaction.

“NFT is about possession. We want to make Ledger Live the place where you can see all your assets, from the top cryptocurrencies to the most exotic NFTs,” said Charles Hamel, Vice President of Products, Charles Hamel.

And in the past, some Ledger wallets supported NFTs, but only through third-party partner apps. Now, full support for collection tokens has appeared in the Ledger Live application. So far, it is only available in the PC version, but in the future it should also appear in the mobile application.

Currently Ledger hardware wallets are not available for order in Russia. Earlier, the supply of devices was suspended by Trezor.
