The man identified as the leader of a criminal organization operating in Bahia and considered one of the most wanted in the state was arrested by the Civil Police of Minas Gerais after exchanging information with the Intelligence Agency of the Civil Police of Bahia.
The individual, whose name was not released, was located in São João do Manhuaçu, in Zona da Mata Mineira.
According to the police, there were days of surveillance and monitoring until the man was located in a commercial establishment, where he was approached by civil police officers. He presented a false name and, after surveys, the teams confirmed the real identification.
The criminal group coordinated by the investigator is said to be responsible for several homicides as a result of the conflict between drug traffickers in the cities of Itaberaba, Boa Vista do Tupim and Marcionílio Souza – all in Bahia. The criminal organization still has branches in Salvador, mainly in the Arenoso neighborhood.
In 2019, the suspect had already been the target of operation Cruzador. In 2021, he became the “3 of Diamonds” in the Crime Deck, a tool created by the Public Security Secretariat of Bahia to disseminate images of the most wanted fugitive individuals in the state.
