Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, Olly Murs, Calum Scott and Gary Barlow, from the band Take That, were the attractions of the event that took place last Sunday (7), near Windsor Castle.

The party celebrated the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla. Prince William, Kate Middleton and their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte attended the ceremony. In addition to a crowd that rocked to the sound of “Roar”, by Katy Perry.

The American singer was the main attraction and delighted to open her performance with her hit “Roar” – she “took” a lion that appeared and lit up the London sky. She also sang “Eye Of The Tiger” and “Firework”, dedicating it to King Charles’ charity project. In the audience, Princess Charlotte appeared enjoying the show and singing alongside her mother.

Lionel Richie took the stage and put the entire royal family to dance to the sound of “All Night Long”. The King and Queen appeared waving flags. Prince William and his children also enjoyed the performance.

Singer Nicole Scherzinger impressed a lot with her voice in a performance of the song “Reflection”, from the movie Mulan, which is interpreted by Christina Aguilera. On Twitter, the presentation earned praise from the public.

Andrea Bocelli and opera singer Bryn Terfel took the stage to sing ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ and moved those present at the venue.

Prince William addressed the show and quoted Queen Elizabeth as saying she would be proud to see the UK gathered to witness her father’s coronation. “God save the king,” he said at last. Kate Middleton reacted with a smile in the audience.

To close the event, the band Take That performed without Robbie Williams, who did not justify his absence. The grand performance featured ballet and the choir from St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

Elton John, great British star and personal friend of Princess Diana, was invited to the celebration, but did not attend as he is in the middle of a tour. The singer was one of King Charles’ priorities.

During the ceremony, the Muppets made the king laugh. Winnie the Pooh and even Tom Cruise appeared in some taped skits.
