A 14 -year -old girl lost her life when she was attacked by a lion on the outskirts of Nairobi, according to a Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS). As the BBC notes, the wild animal invaded a housing complex, a ranch near the Nairobi National Park, and grabbed the teenage girl. The KWS foresters followed the traces of the lion up to the banks of a nearby river, where they found the girl’s body. The lion has not been identified so far. However, the service assures that it has placed traps and develops search groups in the area. At the same time, additional security measures are taken to prevent similar incidents. The Nairobi National Park, just 10 kilometers from the city center, hosts a plethora of wild animals, such as lions, buffaloes, leopards, giraffes and cheetahs.
