Kelly Clarkson attributes her recent weight loss to moving to New York City and listening to her doctor.
In People Magazine's latest cover story, the singer and presenter said that she and her children have been doing a lot of walking since she moved her family and her show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” from Los Angeles to the city on the east coast of the United States. United.
“Walking around the city is great exercise,” she said. “And I'm really interested in infrared saunas now. And I just took a cold shower because everyone tired me out.”
According to studies, walking can lower your risk of cancer, heart disease and early death, and any amount of walking helps.
The “American Idol” winner said she moved for her mental health and has enjoyed exploring her new home with her children, daughter River Rose, 9, and son Remington Alexander, 7, who she shares with her ex -husband Brandon Blackstock.
Clarkson told the publication that she also revamped her diet.
“I eat a healthy mix. I lost weight because I’ve been listening to my doctor — I hadn’t done that in a few years,” she said.
“And 90% of the time I'm pretty good at it, because a protein diet is good for me anyway. I'm a Texas girl, so I like meat. Sorry, vegetarians everywhere!”
Running one of the most popular daytime talk shows wasn't easy, especially in the early years, Clarkson shared.
“Season 5 is my first season where I’ve really enjoyed every minute of it.”
