Keir Starmer met Donald Trump for the first time

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer met for the first time in New York with former US president and current Republican candidate Donald Trump, British media reported today. The meeting took place at Trump Tower in the presence of British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, who had called Trump a “racist” in 2017 and vowed to protest if Trump visited the UK. The Labor leader, who had spoken hours earlier at the United Nations, insisted on meeting Trump in person in order to “build a relationship” with him, the BBC reported. “I am a big believer in personal relationships on the international stage.
