Keanu Reeves returns to the stage with his band Dogstar after 20 years

Keanu Reeves is one of the most multifaceted stars in Hollywood, since he not only plays various roles in movies, he is also the founder of the band rock Dogstar, which started in the 1990s with his friends Robert Mailhouse and Bret Domrose.

However, in 2002, Keanu left the band to focus on his acting career. 20 years later, he decided to take some time and resume his place in the group, surprising all those who had the opportunity to see him in concert on May 27.

Dogstar performed at Napa Valley’s 2023 BottleRock festival for the first time since they broke up in 2002. The group delighted those present with their hits. In addition, they shared some songs from what will be their next album on the market and confirmed that they are about to record their first promotional music video.

Despite the fact that the presentation of the band as such was already surprising, what attracted the most attention was the return of Keanu Reeves as official bassist. It is worth mentioning that the also actor never flaunted his well-known popularity and behaved on a par with the other musicians who appeared at the venue.

Dogstar formed in the late 90’s after Keanu and Mailhouse (drummer) started getting together to play music. The band had a momentary success that led them to say goodbye to the stage in 2002 with a Show in Japan.

It was not until twenty years later, just at the end of 2022, that the group resumed their social networks and reported that there would be surprises for the next year (2023), they even shared photos of their work in the recording studio. At the moment, it is not known if there are plans for an official tour or if the actor will abandon his career in Hollywood to enjoy his stage as a musician. What is a fact is that Keanu can do everything he has dreamed of, proving that there are no human limits.
