Actors Keanu Reeves, 60, and Sandra Bullock, 60, got together on Tuesday (8) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of the most famous films they made together.
The pair appeared at a screening of “Speed” at Beyond Fest in Los Angeles at the American Cinematheque at the Egyptian Theater, where they joined the film’s director, Jan de Bont, to talk about the experience of working on the feature.
The 1994 hit features Keanu Reeves as police officer Jack Traven and Bullock as Annie Porter on a bus that would explode if it reduced its speed by a certain amount. After de Bont shared that 11 buses were used in the filming, Reeves joked about the excessive number of cameras in the vehicles.
“I once counted 22 cameras in the front,” Reeves said in a video shared on social media. “In front of us, there must have been 22 cameras. There was a camera just for Sandra’s hand. A camera for when I turned.”
The success of the original led to a sequel, and earlier this year, Reeves and Bullock appeared together on the 50 MPH podcast. The duo said they were not against the idea of appearing together in a possible “Speed 3”.
“I mean, we would kill it,” Reeves said on the podcast.
