Kandinskij, the artist who brings everyone together

There is an artist who makes everyone agree, or at least all art lovers: it is called Vasily Kandinsky. Each of his paintings is an iconhis abstraction a trademark. His painting – let’s face it – an enigma (and there is no agreement on the transliteration of the surname from Cyrillic …).

Let’s say that if you like puzzles and if you want to discover a city that is too often underestimated, point the navigator on Rovigo: you might find fog, which is at home in these parts, but also much more (le natural oases of the Po delta not far away, for example, or i well-kept city parks). The right address is Roverella Palace, in the city center: before or after the visit, a bianchino is a must at one of the bars that overlook the square or the street below.

Inside, allow yourself at least two hours of enchantment to visit Kandinsky. The work. 1900-1940a large retrospective curated by Paolo Bolpagnie Evgenia Petrovawith pieces granted – thank you at the cultural diplomacy – from the different Russian museums.

The exhibition opens just this weekend and will be open until June 26th and is chronologically marked over four decades that follow the artistic parable of dad of abstractionfrom the figurative beginnings to the ties with the tradition of his people, from the will to create a new and free visual world based onharmony of colors and shapes and of music (Kandinsky was obsessed with the pentagram) to the passion for the stories of marginal peoples such as those who lived in Siberia until’pure abstraction.
