The country singer Jorge Barcelos 42, held a show on the night of Thursday (24), without the duo, LIARARY MATTHEW 38, after the singer goes through a Knee emergency surgery.
“In 20 years this is the seventh show I do alone, always for reasons of illness, after all we are not machines,” said Jorge during the presentation. “Thank you for this wonderful reception above anything. I hope he is here by my side as soon as possible,” he added to the public.
The shows held without Matthew were those of Santarém (PA), Thursday, Belém (PA), this Friday (25), and in Manaus (AM), on Saturday (26).
Jorge & Mateus are doing a commemorative tour of the duo’s 20th anniversary, a milestone that precedes a break from the singers’ career.
In total will be 22 presentations during 2025, between April and December.
The musicians met in Itumbiara, interior of Goiás, and formed the set in 2005 – becoming one of the precursors of the university countryman. Jorge was in law and Mateus Agronomy, and were presented by common friends.
