The burning of buses in the city of Rio de Janeiro, in addition to other criminal actions, prevented singer Jojo Todynho from going to college. Last Monday night (23), she made an outburst online stating that she had to miss class due to the violence that hit Recreio dos Bandeirantes, the neighborhood where she lives. In fact, several regions in the west of the city were affected.
“Guys, I’m banned from going to college today. Bullet is flying”, declared Jojo in his Instagram stories. The singer is studying the second semester of law school and usually shares her student routine with internet users, but ended up being unable to go to class. This Tuesday morning (24), the singer reacted again with internet users by showing a kit of material received at her home.

The violence in the capital of Rio de Janeiro began after the death of Matheus da Silva Rezende, nephew of militiaman Luís Antônio da Silva Braga, better known as Zinho, on Monday morning (23). Since then, at least 35 buses and one train have been set on fire, registering a record number of buses burned on the same day, according to the union of public transport companies in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, Rio Ônibus.
Matheus da Silva, aged 24, was shot during a shootout with the Civil Police, in the Três Pontes community, in Santa Cruz. He was being investigated for at least 20 deaths, being number two in the militia hierarchy in the region.
Several roads in neighborhoods such as Campo Grande, Paciência, Guaratiba, Recreio and Inhoaíba were closed and the loss from the fires has already reached R$30 million for the city of Rio de Janeiro.
