After facing health problems caused by Covid-19, Joelma, at 49 years old, has demonstrated that she knows how to turn things around.
During the night of this Friday (24), the singer recorded her newest DVD “ Isso é Calypso ”, in memory of the height of her career with the band Calypso in the 2000s.
At Mangueirão, in Belém, Pará, with all the seats occupied, the artist received numerous compliments for the great performance she presented. On social media platforms, the performer of “A Lua Me Traiu” was widely acclaimed for her dedication in performing various acrobatics during the choreography, maintaining an impeccable performance and without losing her breath while singing the song.
The show in question was part of a tour that, in addition to Belém, includes four other cities. The first recordings were in Recife (PE) and São Paulo (SP).
The presentation had 11 appearances by artists such as singer João Gomes and singers Valéria Paiva, from the band Fruto Sensual, Viviane Batidão, Rebeca Lindsay and Hellen Patrícia.

Process
Guitarist Ximbinha revealed on Wednesday (22) the reason why he is suing Joelma, his ex-wife and former bandmate Calypso. He spoke about what motivated the legal process and about his relationship with his ex-wife on the Intelligence Ltda podcast.
In the interview, the man from Pará said that he questions the use of the term “Calypso” without his authorization. He said he feels like he took a hit from Joelma, as she named the tour with which she has been touring Brazil since 2022 “ Isso É Calypso ”.
“The name Calypso is ours, it can only be used with the two together. I can’t use it alone, nor can she. I feel like it was a blow she gave me. She named the show ‘That’s Calypso’, but she only says ‘Calypso’. This is before the courts”, explained Ximbinha.
“I’m going to have a tacacá”
“I’m going to have a tacacá, dance, enjoy, have fun.” The chorus of “Voando pro Pará” has gone viral on social media and revived the singer’s name.
During a visit to Brazil, when Christian Chávez, from RBD, sang the hit song to the public in Rio de Janeiro, the name of the typical dish, in addition to the singer’s song, returned to the scene.
