Joe Rogan: “the cryptocurrency industry will either collapse or change life for the better”

Infamous American comedian and commentator Joe Rogan has high hopes for cryptocurrencies and suggests that each company will issue its own NFTs in the future.

Joe Rogan is often criticized for his opposition to political correctness, as well as for jokes about racism, sexism and homophobia. Despite this, about 11 million people watch Rogan’s podcasts. On “The Joe Rogan Experience,” he discussed the possibilities of the cryptocurrency industry with fellow podcaster Adam Curry, who is also condemned by the state media and the medical community for spreading conspiracy theories. Rogan believes that cryptoassets have two scenarios:

“Either the cryptocurrency industry will completely disintegrate, or it will give people a real chance to fix their financial situation and improve their lives,” he said.

In turn, Curry said that there are many people who refuse to be part of the existing system, so they began to create parallel networks and ecosystems. He added that he invested in bitcoin, “jumping on the train”, since it is the first cryptocurrency that can ensure the safety of his funds. According to Curry, the monetary system is already broken, causing inflation, poverty and even wars, since money is tied to oil.

Commentators also discussed the potential of the metaverse and the role of non-fungible tokens in this space. Rogan suggested that in the future, companies will create their own collectible tokens for customers to use to purchase products.

“Apple can easily release NFTs through which users will buy products. This can be called an alternative version of shares, ”Rogan said.

However, Curry disagreed with him, as he believes that large organizations and governments will focus on the adoption of digital currencies of central banks. Each person will have a digital wallet that will act as a direct link between him and the US Federal Reserve, and there will be no demand for retail banking services, Curry is convinced.

Entrepreneur Kevin O’Leary also became an NFT supporter. He is confident that in the future they will find widespread use and may become more in demand than Bitcoin.
